converted a penalty kick five minutes into the match (3-0). However,
Frostburg managed to contain Georgetown from scoring in the next 20 minutes.
With a Frostburg scrum on the left side of the field, the Georgetown defense
forced a turnover, and flanker Dan Hartman '04 picked up the loose ball to
commit the defenders inside the 22-meter. Scrumhalf Patrick Pierce '04
picked up and ran the ball on the weak side, then dished off to wing Paul
Detjen '06 to score the Hoyas' first try (10-0). At the 34-minute mark,

ball away. As both teams traded kicks, inside center Rich Staley '05
received the ball from the right side of the field and weaved through
defenders to find Hartman, who ran untouched into the try zone (24-0). Half
way through the second half, Georgetown spoiled a Frostburg lineout and ran
a couple of phases 10-meters from the try zone. Ludwigson faked an inside
switch and passed to outside center Greg Suellentrop '05 for the try (29-0).
With less than 10 minutes remaining in the match, Georgetown was awarded a
scrum on the right side of the field inside the Hoyas' territory. The backs
displayed deceptive running patterns to pass off to fullback Ben Purcell
'05, eluding tacklers. Purcell passed off to Detjen to out run the
Frostburg defenders for a 40-meter try (36-0).
