Summer 2005: Old Boys Monmouth Rugby Tournament

The Georgetown Rugby Old Boys team dominated the Monmouth Rugby Tournament to capture its fourth tourney championship in six years, outscoring opponents 185-17. The Old Boys team consisted of Georgetown Rugby alumni and four current ruggers, Paul Detjen '06, Jeff Miller '06, Michael McCourt '06, Michael Zoch '06. The Old Boys opened the tournament matches against the Gotham Knights and the Kutztown Alumni, with final scores of 63-5 and 36-0, respectively. In the semifinal game, the match against PCOM was whistled before regulation time on the request from the opposition, as the Old Boys were ahead 59-0. The Old Boys team defeated Kutztown University 27-12 in the finals.

Highlights of the game were Paul Detjen's MVP performance with seven tries and Jeff Bronikowski '92, being the oldest alumni, playing every minute of every game.
