In order to reach these objectives we have taken on several initiatives, including:
- Updating the Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association Website (www.georgetownrugby.org – still under construction)
- Opening a Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association bank account at the Georgetown Credit Union
- Opening a Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association PayPal account to facilitate on-line donations
- Gathering contact information for as many Hoya Ruggers as possible
So why am I emailing you?.....because I am trying to create a database of Hoya Rugby Alumni. When you have 5 minutes, please fill in the attached excel spreadsheet and return it to me at huggies@georgetownrugby.org. Also, please forward this message to any fellow alumni who are not on this email.
Many of you have provided similar information in the past, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide the information one last time so I know that we have the latest information and so that I can populate a couple of extra fields. Specifically, we would like to know: “May we contact you about events?” and “May we include you on the Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association database?” By default, we will assume No to both questions, but we obviously would appreciate it if you would change that to yes. We will be make it a priority to protect your privacy by sending a minimum amount of communication, allowing you to change your options at any time, restricting access to the database to alumni only, and creating strict policies about the use of contact information.
In the near future, you will be able to update all of this information online through the Georgetown Rugby Alumni Website. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me your information now so we have a good base to start from. I will automatically upload any data you provide me so that you do not have to enter it again.
