Thank you from the Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association

On behalf of the entire Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association and the Georgetown University Rugby team, we would like to thank everyone for their generousity in supporting the team's quest for the National Championship.  As a whole, the alumni were able to raise funds to help defray the team's travel expenses. 

While the team fell in the National semi-finals, the 2004-05 Hoyas have had one of their most successful years in recent memory, compiling a record of 21-2-1 over the fall and spring seasons.  Among their accomplishments, the team were the champions of the Potomac Rugby Union and Mid Atlantic Rugby Union, defended the Capital Cup for an eighth straight year, and won the Cherry Blossom Tournament.  Congratulations on a great season! 

We would like to recognize all of the individuals who contributed to the fundraising efforts, but would also like to single out the Goodfellow family, the Ludwigson family, James Gibbons, and Chris Dopp for their outstanding leadership efforts.  

And for those of you keeping score at the home, the class of 2000 narrowly edged out the class of 1998 for highest contributions, followed by the class of 1985 in third place. The class of 1998 led the pack with the highest contribution rate out of any classes, crushing every class. 

Please continue to be on the look out for emails from the Georgetown Rugby Alumni Association, especially with respect to the annual Old  Boys game @ the Monmouth, NJ tournament in August.
